Starting back on eating clean can definitely be a challenge. Especially when all those comfort foods keep popping into your head. Don't worry! The cool thing about clean eating is that there is almost always a clean substitute for your favorite meals! I was craving Haluski and it's one of my husband's favorite meals. Even my hubby will eat this clean meal.
Directions:
Chop up a small head of cabbage.
Chop up a small head of purple cabbage.
Slice up 1-2 onions
Slice up 1-2carrots (thin strips)
Put all veggies in a frying pan with coconut oil.
Cook until your liking.
Boil brown rice noodles.
Combine brown rice and noodles and veggies.
So for mine, I always make my own combo so I have way more veggies than noodles. Then my hubby has the rest.
Don't forget to pair with a lean protien.
I just made lightly seasoned chicken breasts to go with my dinner.
You definitely can just stick to regular cabbage and onions if that's what your taste buds prefer. I love getting in the extra veggies so I prefer mine this way.
Definitely a delicious meal! I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything!
